Les Petits Lions, Generali Outfits Young Male and Female Rugby Players from 42 Amateur Rugby Clubs
On amateur rugby fields, young players learn very early on what it means to play as a team. Tackling, getting back up, supporting a teammate… These values are instilled from the very beginning, and Generali wanted to support these young talents through Les Petits Lions.
The Winged Lion on Amateur Rugby Fields
As a long-standing partner of the French Equestrian Federation and organizer of the Generali Open de France, the insurer champions a sport that promotes solidarity and inclusion. Since 2023, it has also supported Les Coqs Festifs, an inclusive Parisian rugby club. Through Les Petits Lions, its emblem continues to make inroads in amateur sports.
42 amateur rugby clubs equipped
Now in its second season, the initiative brings together the Generali branch network and 42 clubs across France. Each club receives 20 complete Kappa uniforms for its U8, U10, or U12 players, as well as tracksuits for its coaches. Since the launch, 1,100 kits have been donated and 1,000 young players have been outfitted.
Employees Committed to Their Community
Generali employees register the club closest to their branch and then host an event to personally present the jerseys. These friendly gatherings bring together club members, families, and insurance agents, and are covered by local media.
Build a relationship of trust with families
Amateur rugby allows Generali to reach families and, by extension, homeowners and renters. The campaign emphasizes the values of community and a sense of belonging to a local area, with brand visibility on the jerseys every weekend.
With Les Petits Lions, Generali demonstrates that the values of rugby are as much a part of life on the field as they are in its relationships with customers. #LesPetitsLionsDuRugby
