La Grande Équipe, in partnership with Allianz, supports nearly 300 amateur soccer and basketball clubs to help young people grow

Sports often begin right in your own neighborhood, at a local club. That’s where you learn to push yourself, build self-confidence, and work as part of a team. Allianz is convinced of this, and it is this conviction that gave rise to La Grande Équipe.

Keeping the legacy of the Games alive on amateur fields

As a global partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games from 2021 to 2028, Allianz already insures 30 sports federations and more than 7,400 clubs in France. Through La Grande Équipe, the insurer brings the legacy of the Games to life among the clubs that help young people grow.

Three seasons, a team that keeps growing

Launched in 2024 with 50 soccer clubs, the initiative expanded to include basketball and adapted basketball in 2025, followed by adapted soccer in 2026. In three seasons, nearly 300 clubs have joined La Grande Équipe.

Equipment for youth and volunteers

Each club receives an adidas grant worth 1,300 euros for two of its teams, including uniforms for the players and tracksuits for the volunteers. For adapted teams, the grant can be tailored to the club’s needs.

Inclusion and Child Protection

By supporting wheelchair basketball and adapted soccer, Allianz promotes inclusion and accessibility. Each applicant club must also have at least one women’s or coed team. On the back of the jerseys, a QR code allows fans to contact the organization L’Enfant Bleu, which works to combat child abuse.

A great sponsor that steps up to the plate

Each club is located less than 15 km from an Allianz branch, which delivers its equipment directly to the club. This allows agents to become an integral part of club life, and the initiative is promoted on the Le Vestiaire Allianz account and with the hashtag #LaGrandeEquipeAllianz.

From France to Spain

The campaign's success inspired Allianz internationally, leading to the launch of El Gran Equipo in Spain the following year.

Through La Grande Équipe, Allianz demonstrates that the legacy of the Games is also built on amateur fields.
