Official supplier to the French Handball Federation, and in particular to its women's teams, La Boulangère is extending this support by also committing itself to the women's teams of amateur clubs.
Official supplier to the French Handball Federation since 2020, and in particular to its women's teams, La Boulangère is extending this support by also committing to the women's teams of amateur clubs via a sponsorship scheme entitled Le Goût du Hand.
The sixth-largest sports federation, with almost 456,000 members, handball stands out for its exceptional parity, as it is the No. 1 women's team sport, with almost 35% of its members women.
Committed to women's sports since 2017, La Boulangère is above all keen to promote women's sporting activities, whether amateur or professional, but also to encourage women to achieve personal and sporting goals.
This brand commitment is echoed in women's handball and its values. La Boulangère is committed to nurturing the collective spirit that drives this sport on every court - where passion, performance and well-being bring out the best in everyone.
This new initiative is a continuation of the brand's history with handball, this time supporting amateur players in their passion, on a local scale. Christophe Aillet, General Manager of La Boulangère, explains this commitment.
After more than three years working alongside the French Handball Federation, it seemed only natural that we should also support amateur handball and help these women athletes to develop their passion for the sport! Handball is an accessible, unifying sport that generates great emotions as a team. It's a wonderful story that we share with women's handball, and one that we continue to write together, every day.
Between April 20 and May 10, more than 400 clubs applied on the operation website, including 84 in the brand's regions (Vendée, Seine-Maritime, Côte d'Or and Seine-et-Marne).
Wishing to put proximity at the heart of its strategy, La Boulangère gave priority to clubs located around its production sites. A resounding success, since the selected clubs unveiled on May 20 are all located less than 20km from their production sites.
The lucky winners will receive sports equipment (match kits) for their women's teams, as well as a post-match snack to enjoy together!
